Piper Law Group is a local law firm dedicated to solving our clients’ problems as quickly and cost-effectively as circumstances permit. We focus on trial practice in Wyoming Courts, though we believe strongly in pretrial resolution wherever possible. Our office is intentionally small because we are committed to delivering personalized service. Too often, we hear about a lack of communication between attorneys and clients, an apparent lack of interest in the client’s matter, or clients who feel they have no idea what is going on in their matter. Meet our team
Robert Piper
Rob founded the Piper Law Group when he recognized a need for personalized and accessible legal services in Wyoming. He began his legal career as a criminal defense and family law practitioner with one of Wyoming’s most established law firms, and then took a Partnership in a mid-sized Cheyenne firm where he continued to focus on criminal defense and family law. Rob then decided that he preferred a simpler practice in which he could focus on the needs of each client, and founded the Piper Law Group, LLC.
Since becoming a member of the Wyoming Bar, Rob has taken the most challenging criminal cases, including homicide offenses, narcotics trafficking, “white collar” offenses including financial crimes, domestic violence offenses, crimes relating to children and other offenses in Courts throughout the State of Wyoming. Rob frequently represents parents in divorce proceedings and has tried family law matters both as counsel for one of the parties and as a Guardian ad Litem. He has also tried numerous civil cases including breach of contract allegations, trespass and damage to real property, collections matters and more.
Prior to embarking on his legal career, Rob Served as a Security Policeman in the U.S. Air Force and then as Wyoming Peace Officer. He most recently served in a Wyoming Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Sergeant, Field Training Officer, Detection K-9 Handler and Special Weapons and Tactics Team Member. Rob has testified as an expert witness in Federal and State Courts on narcotics detection K-9 deployments and use of force by peace officers.
